Target Information
SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin)는 간에서 분비되는 스테로이드 결합 단백질로, 혈중에서 안드로겐과 에스트로겐을 운반하며 각 스테로이드 분자를 동일하거나 거의 동일한 단량체로 이루어진 이합체 형태로 결합합니다.
낮은 SHBG 혈장 농도는 비만, 복부 지방 축적, 대사증후군과 관련이 있으며 제2형 당뇨병 발생을 예측할 수 있습니다.
이 유전자 다형성은 다낭성 난소 증후군 및 제2형 당뇨병과도 관련되어 있습니다.
