Target Information
PIK3CG (p110 gamma)는 class IB phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase 패밀리의 구성원으로, 중요한 second messenger인 PIP2 생성을 담당합니다. Class IA 효소들이 receptor tyrosine kinase 하위에서 신호를 전달하는 반면, PIK3CG는 주로 GPCR 하위에서 작용합니다. 이 효소는 phosphoinositides의 inositol ring의 3-hydroxyl group을 인산화하며, E-cadherin 매개 세포 간 접착에 의해 유도되는 세포 외 신호를 조절합니다. 이는 상피 구조 및 기능적 완전성 유지에 중요하며, NK 세포의 세포독성 조절에도 관여합니다. 해당 유전자는 골수성 백혈병에서 흔히 결실된 염색체 7 구간에 위치합니다.
