Target Information
IL-1 receptor-associated kinases (IRAKs) are serine/threonine kinases involved in Toll/IL-1 signaling pathways. Upon TLR activation, IRAK1 is recruited by MYD88 to the receptor-signaling complex, where it is phosphorylated by IRAK4 and undergoes autophosphorylation, leading to kinase activation.
IRAK1 can also phosphorylate TIRAP, promoting its ubiquitination and degradation, and phosphorylates IRF7 to induce its activation and nuclear translocation. This process triggers transcriptional activation of type I interferon genes, promoting an antiviral cellular state.
