Target Information

FICD 단백질은 표적 단백질의 특정 잔기에 adenosine 5'-monophosphate(AMP)를 결합(AMPylation)하거나 제거(de-AMPylation)하는 기능을 모두 수행합니다. Glu-231 잔기가 AMPylase 또는 de-AMPylase 활성을 결정하며, ERN1/IRE1 매개 비접힘 단백질 반응(UPR)의 핵심 조절자로 작용합니다.
비스트레스 상태에서는 HSPA5/BiP의 Thr-518 잔기를 AMPylation하여 비활성화하고, ER 스트레스 시에는 de-AMPylation을 통해 HSPA5/BiP 활성을 회복시킵니다.
RhoA, Rac, Cdc42 GTPases를 in vitro에서 AMPylation할 수 있으나, 생리학적 기질은 아닙니다.
