Target Information
MTTP encodes the large subunit of the heterodimeric microsomal triglyceride transfer protein. Protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) forms the heterodimer with MTTP, playing a central role in lipoprotein assembly. Mutations in MTP can cause abetalipoproteinemia.
