Target Information
TOR1AIP2는 두 가지 단백질 아이소폼을 암호화하는 유전자 중 하나로, 그 중 하나는 소포체(ER)에 존재하는 type II integral membrane protein입니다. 이 단백질은 ATPase TorsinA의 보조인자로 작용하여 ER과 핵막 사이의 TorsinA 분포를 조절합니다.
이 단백질의 결함은 조기 발병 원발성 근긴장 이상증(primary dystonia)의 원인이 될 수 있습니다. 다른 아이소폼은 interferon alpha 반응성 단백질로, 세포 내 역할은 아직 명확히 규명되지 않았습니다.
