Product Specific Information
A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45942 was sufficient for detection of VPS35 in 10 µg of SH-SY5Y lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 92 kDa.
Target Information
This gene belongs to a group of vacuolar protein sorting (VPS) genes. The encoded protein is a component of the retromer complex, which mediates retrograde transport of proteins from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network. Structural similarity between yeast and human retromer proteins suggests conserved function. Expression studies indicate direct interaction with VPS35, serving as the core of the retromer complex.
