The polyclonal rabbit antibody reacts with human, mouse, and rat Fractalkine receptor (CX3CR1). The antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to amino acids 2–21 of human CX3CR1, which differs from mouse and rat sequences by four amino acids. CX3CR1 functions as a chemokine receptor and a coreceptor for HIV infection. It mediates leukocyte migration and adhesion and is expressed in various human tissues and cell lines.

Applications Reported:
This polyclonal antibody has been reported for use in immunoblotting (WB).

Applications Tested:
Tested by immunoblotting at 1:500–1:2000 dilution. Human spleen tissue is recommended as a positive control, detecting an approximately 50 kDa band. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined experimentally.

Target Information

CX3CR1 is a chemokine receptor required as a coreceptor for HIV infection. The genes encoding human, mouse, and rat CX3CR1 were cloned and designated V28 and CMKBRL1, CX3CR1, and RBS11, respectively. The encoded seven-transmembrane protein was identified as the receptor for fractalkine and renamed CX3CR1. It mediates leukocyte migration and adhesion and is expressed in various human tissues and cell lines.
