Product Specific Information

The 1B1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD1d, a 48 kDa glycoprotein structurally similar to MHC class I molecules. CD1d associates with β2-microglobulin and functionally resembles MHC class II. 1B1 detects CD1d on mouse leukocytes and recognizes β2m-associated CD1d.

• Recommended Use: ≤ 0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)
• Optimization: Titrate antibody for best performance

Brilliant Violet™ 711 (BV711) is a tandem dye emitting at 713 nm, suitable for cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use:

• Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42)
• Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75)
  to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in dark.
Not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

CD1d is a heavy chain associated with β2-microglobulin on cortical thymocytes. It is the sole group 2 member of the CD1 family, structurally related to MHC proteins, forming heterodimers with β2-microglobulin. CD1 proteins present lipid and glycolipid antigens to T cells. The CD1 family genes are located on chromosome 1 and differ in localization and ligand specificity. CD1d localizes to late endosomes and lysosomes via a tyrosine-based motif. Related diseases include Mycobacterium Malmoense and autoimmune disorders.
