Product Specific Information
The 30-F11 monoclonal antibody reacts with all isoforms of mouse CD45, also known as Leukocyte Common Antigen (LCA). CD45 is expressed by all hematopoietic cells excluding mature erythrocytes and platelets. The cytoplasmic portion of CD45 has tyrosine phosphatase enzymatic activity and plays an important role in activation of lymphocytes.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Mouse bone marrow cells, ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance.
Brilliant Violet™ 480 (BV480) emits at 479 nm and is intended for cytometers equipped with a 405 nm violet laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.
Buffer Recommendation: When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.
Fixation Compatibility: BV480 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells (~10% of lymphocyte surface proteins). Absent in non-hematopoietic tissues. CD45 regulates lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, controlling Src-family kinases and cytokine receptor signaling. Isoforms (e.g., CD45RA) differ by alternative splicing, influencing membrane localization and immune signaling. CD45 modulates integrin-mediated survival and apoptosis pathways.
