Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Nogo-A and recombinant rat Nogo-A is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
NogoA is a member of the reticulon protein family, integral membrane proteins involved in various cellular processes and neurodegenerative diseases. Reticulons interact with multiple proteins and receptors such as BACE. NogoA was first identified as a myelin-associated neurite outgrowth inhibitor and is highly expressed in oligodendrocytes in CNS white matter. Blocking NogoA activity enhances axon regrowth and functional recovery in CNS lesion models. Elevated NogoA levels have been observed in neurodegenerative diseases such as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and multiple sclerosis, where autoantibodies to NogoA are found in serum and cerebrospinal fluid.
