Product Specific Information
- Antibody tested in direct ELISA.
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris Buffer with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CD137 (also known as TNFRSF9 or 4-1BB) is an inducible costimulatory molecule primarily expressed on activated T cells.
Its ligand, 4-1BBL, is found on activated macrophages, mature B cells, hematopoietic stem cells, and myeloid progenitor cells.
CD137 signaling supports the survival and expansion of activated and memory T cells, while modulating myelopoiesis and dendritic cell development.
Triggered CD137 induces cytokine release that regulates peripheral monocyte survival.
Soluble CD137 may provide a negative feedback mechanism in immune responses.
