Target Information
AXL은 만성 골수성 백혈병 관련 종양유전자로, 대장암 및 흑색종과도 관련이 있습니다. AXL 단백질은 receptor tyrosine kinase로서 성장인자(GAS6 등)와 결합하여 세포 증식을 유도합니다.
TAM 수용체는 또한 세포사멸(apoptosis)된 세포의 식작용(phagocytosis)에 관여합니다. TAM 수용체가 결핍된 마우스는 세포 잔해 제거 장애로 인한 퇴행성 표현형과 자가면역 질환(SLE 유사)을 나타냅니다.
Axl은 필로바이러스의 잠재적 침입 수용체로 작용할 수 있으며, Siglec 6+/Axl+ 혈액 수지상세포의 특정 아형을 식별하는 데 사용됩니다.
Axl의 세포 발현은 TLR 리간드(LPS, poly I:C 등)에 의해 상향 조절될 수 있으며, 용해형 Axl은 막형 Axl의 단백질 분해에 의해 생성됩니다. 혈장 내 Axl 농도의 증가는 염증 및 암과 관련될 수 있습니다.
