Target Information
Protein arginine N-methyltransferase 6 (PRMT6)
PRMT6는 type I PRMT 활성을 가지며, glycine- 및 arginine-rich 기질에서 ω-N monomethylarginine 및 asymmetric dimethylarginine 유도체를 형성합니다.
여러 스테로이드 호르몬 수용체(ESR1, ESR2, PGR, NR3C1)의 전사 공동활성인자로 작용하며, CRTC2 전사 공동활성인자의 메틸화를 통해 단식 유도성 포도당신생합성 유전자 발현을 촉진합니다.
또한 HIV-1 감염 시 Tat, Rev, Nucleocapsid protein p7 등의 기능을 메틸화하여 억제함으로써 선천 면역에 관여할 수 있습니다.
