Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Survivin (IAP4) is the smallest member of the Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein (IAP) family. It plays roles in cell signaling, division, and metabolism, and is highly expressed in most human cancers but not in normal tissues. Survivin contains a single BIR domain and lacks the C-terminal RING finger domain. Expression peaks during the G2/M phase and associates with mitotic spindle microtubules. Disruption of this interaction increases caspase-3 activity, leading to apoptosis during mitosis. Survivin is also expressed in adult rat brain tissues after injury and may regulate neural cell proliferation responses. Multiple transcript variants exist, with three full-length forms identified. Overexpression in cancer may inhibit apoptosis, promoting tumor progression.
