Comprehensive Design
Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell lines, introduced in the 1960s, have become essential tools for biomedical research and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Their rapid growth, stable gene expression, and high protein production make them ideal for both research and therapeutic protein production.
To enhance research and manufacturing yield, the Applied Biosystems™ CHO Gene 2.1 ST Array Plates provide an expression array design with the highest coverage of the transcribed genome. Probes interrogate up to 23 unique sequences of each transcript, enabling whole-transcriptome gene expression analysis at both gene and exon levels. This allows the study of transcript variants and alternative splicing events.
This array design, based on the latest genome content, offers high probe coverage for accurate detection of genome-wide transcript expression changes. It provides higher resolution and accuracy than classical 3′-biased microarray solutions. Whole-transcriptome analysis allows detection of multiple transcript isoforms, including splice variants, non-polyadenylated transcripts, transcripts with alternative polyadenylation sites, and truncated transcripts.

Applied Biosystems CHO Gene 2.1 ST Array Plates are designed exclusively for the Applied Biosystems GeneTitan™ Instrument — a hands-free microarray system capable of processing 16, 24, or 96 samples in parallel.
