This protein is a non-polymorphic determinant of rat MHC Class I, also known as RT1-A. Rat MHC Class I is expressed on all nucleated cells and erythrocytes.
HLA and MHC antibodies are important in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens through high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry.
