Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Calpains are calcium-dependent cysteine proteases that participate in signal transduction and other cellular processes.
A functional calpain protein consists of an invariant small subunit and one of a family of large subunits. CAPN5 is one such large subunit.
Unlike some calpains, CAPN5 and CAPN6 lack a calmodulin-like domain IV. Due to its similarity to the Caenorhabditis elegans sex determination gene tra-3, CAPN5 is also referred to as HTRA3.
