Target Information
Ubiquitin은 세포 단백질을 26S proteasome을 통해 분해 대상으로 지정하는 highly conserved 단백질로, polyubiquitin chain 또는 다른 단백질과 융합된 형태의 전구체 단백질로 합성됩니다.
UBA52 유전자는 N-말단의 ubiquitin과 C-말단의 ribosomal protein S27a로 구성된 융합 단백질을 암호화합니다. 효모에서 발현될 경우, 전사 후 가공 과정을 통해 자유 ubiquitin 단량체와 ribosomal protein S27a가 생성됩니다. Ribosomal protein S27a는 40S ribosomal subunit의 구성 요소로, S27AE family에 속하며 C4-type zinc finger domain을 포함하고 세포질에 위치합니다.
이 유전자로부터 유래된 pseudogene이 존재하며, ribosomal protein L40과 S30 또한 각각 ubiquitin 또는 ubiquitin-like 단백질(fubi)과 융합된 형태로 합성됩니다.
