Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse GITR and recombinant human 4-1BB is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18 (TNFRSF18), also known as GITR or AITR, is a protein encoded by the TNFRSF18 gene in humans, mapped to 1p36.33.
This receptor is part of the TNF-receptor superfamily and shows increased expression upon T-cell activation. It plays a key role in maintaining immunological self-tolerance through CD25(+)CD4(+) regulatory T cells.
Knockout studies in mice indicate its involvement in the regulation of CD3-driven T-cell activation and programmed cell death.
Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
