For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP) is a transmembrane glycoprotein (100–140 kDa) functioning as a cell surface kinesin I receptor, mediating axonal transport of beta-secretase and presenilin 1. It plays roles in neurite growth, neuronal adhesion, and axonogenesis.
Proteolytic cleavage of APP by beta- and gamma-secretases generates beta amyloid, the primary component of senile plaques—key histopathologic features of Alzheimer’s disease.
Abnormal APP processing is also implicated in Down’s syndrome, familial early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, and cerebral hemorrhage.
