OSM00035W is specific for Mucolipin 1, isoform 1.
Reconstitute with 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Target Information
Defects in Mucolipin-1 cause mucolipidosis type IV (MLIV), also known as sialolipidosis. MLIV is an autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disorder characterized by severe psychomotor retardation and ophthalmologic abnormalities such as corneal opacity, retinal degeneration, and strabismus. Electron microscopy reveals storage bodies of lipids and water-soluble substances in nearly all cell types of affected patients. Most patients are unable to speak or walk independently and reach a maximal developmental level of 1–2 years. All patients exhibit constitutive achlorhydria with secondary elevation of serum gastrin levels.
