Phosphatidate phosphatase (PAP)는 진핵세포의 지질 신호 대사에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. PAP1과 PAP2 두 가지 유형은 세포 내 위치 및 N-ethylmaleimide(NEM)와 Mg²⁺에 대한 감수성 차이에 따라 구분됩니다.
PPAPDC1A (DPPL2)와 PPAPDC1B (DPPL1)는 Mg²⁺ 비의존적이고 NEM 민감한 새로운 형태의 mammalian phosphatidate phosphatase로, 넓은 기질 특이성을 보입니다. PPAPDC1A는 주로 내피세포에서 발현되며, 혈관신생(angiogenesis)에 관여할 가능성이 제시되고 있습니다.
