Target Information
PIKFYVE는 세포 내 phosphatidylinositol의 인산화 상태를 조절하는 대형 lipid kinase 계열에 속합니다. Endosomal membrane 내 phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate(P2) 함량은 수송 소포의 융합 및 분열에 따라 동적으로 변화합니다.
PIKFYVE는 PtdIns(3,5)P2를 생성하는 복합체의 구성 요소로, VAC14(활성화 인자) 및 FIG4(탈인산화 효소)와 함께 PtdIns(3,5)P2 수준을 엄격히 조절합니다.
또한 PIKFYVE는 phosphoinositide 5-kinase 활성 외에도 protein kinase 활성을 갖습니다.
