Target Information
GAD-65 및 GAD-67은 glutamate decarboxylase로서 GABA(γ-aminobutyric acid) 생성을 촉매합니다. GABA는 중추신경계에서 주요 억제성 신경전달물질로 작용하며, Cl⁻ 전도도를 증가시켜 신경 발화를 억제합니다.
GABA는 ionotropic (GABAA) 및 metabotropic (GABAB) 수용체를 활성화하며, GABAC라는 세 번째 유형의 수용체도 존재합니다.
GABAA 및 GABAC 수용체는 모두 리간드 개폐 이온 채널이지만 구조적·기능적으로 구별됩니다.
GABAA 수용체 패밀리는 GABAA Rα1–6, GABAA Rβ1–3, GABAA Rγ1–3, GABAA Rδ, GABAA Rε, GABAA Rρ1, GABAA Rρ2를 포함합니다.
GABAB 패밀리는 GABAB R1α 및 GABAB R1β로 구성됩니다.
또한 GABA 작용을 종결시키는 GABA transporter (GAT-1, GAT-2, GAT-3)가 존재합니다.
