They combine multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies to deliver both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of recombinant production.

While functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies—recognizing multiple epitopes and providing high detection sensitivity—each Superclonal™ antibody has a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility across lots.

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin, centromeric heterochromatin, and the nucleolus through its FHA domain. Ki-67 expression varies with cell cycle stages: perinucleolar in G1, nuclear matrix-associated in G2, and chromosomal during mitosis.

As a proliferation marker, Ki-67 is absent in G0 cells but increases from G1 through mitosis. It is widely used to determine the cell growth fraction in neoplasms, correlating with tumor grade and prognosis. Ki-67 is also used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
