Target Information

DDR1 (also known as MCK10 or CD167a) is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by collagen. It regulates cell adhesion, migration, and various cellular processes. Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) are key mediators of cell communication, growth, differentiation, and metabolism. DDR1 is expressed in normal and transformed epithelial cells and activated by multiple collagen types (I–VI). It is highly expressed in epithelial tissues such as kidney, lung, gastrointestinal tract, and brain, and is overexpressed in several human tumors including breast, ovarian, esophageal, and pediatric brain cancers. The gene is located on chromosome 6p21.3 near HLA class I genes, with multiple transcript variants resulting from alternative splicing.
