For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Translin is a DNA-binding protein that recognizes conserved target sequences at chromosomal translocation breakpoints. It forms multimeric structures responsible for DNA-binding activity. Translin-binding sites are found at recombination hotspots and may indicate gene breakpoints involved in translocations. In combination with its partner Trax, Translin also binds RNA and mediates neuronal trafficking.
