Target Information
Spectrin은 액틴 교차결합 및 분자 스캐폴드 단백질로, 세포막을 액틴 세포골격과 연결하여 세포 형태, 막 단백질 배열, 세포소기관 조직화에 관여합니다. α-β 이합체가 머리-머리 형태로 연결된 사량체를 형성합니다. 이 유전자는 α-spectrin 유전자군의 구성원으로, 22개의 spectrin 반복을 포함하며 이합체 형성에 관여합니다. 비적혈구성 α-spectrin보다 약한 사량체 상호작용을 형성하여 적혈구의 탄성 및 변형성을 증가시킬 수 있습니다. 이 유전자 돌연변이는 elliptocytosis type 2, pyropoikilocytosis, spherocytic hemolytic anemia 등 다양한 적혈구 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다.
