Target Information
Neurogenin 1 (NeuroG1) is a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor involved in cell fate determination during development. NeuroG1 functions as a transcriptional activator promoting neurogenesis and inhibits astrocyte differentiation by sequestering CREB-binding protein complexes and inhibiting STAT transcription factors essential for gliogenesis.
