MA5-15839 targets MSX1 in indirect ELISA and WB applications, showing reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human MSX1 expressed in E. coli.
This antibody detects MSX1 with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 31 kDa.

Target Information

MSX1 belongs to the muscle segment homeobox gene family and acts as a transcriptional repressor during embryogenesis through interactions with components of the core transcription complex and other homeoproteins.
It plays roles in limb-pattern formation, craniofacial development (particularly odontogenesis), and tumor growth inhibition.
Mutations in MSX1 (formerly known as homeobox 7) are associated with nonsyndromic cleft lip/palate, Witkop syndrome, Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, and autosomal dominant hypodontia.
