Target Information
TRAIL-R3 (CD263)는 TNF 수용체 초가족(TNF-receptor superfamily)에 속하는 단백질로, 세포외 TRAIL 결합 도메인과 막관통 도메인을 포함하지만 세포질 사멸 도메인은 없습니다.
이 수용체는 세포 사멸(apoptosis)을 유도할 수 없으며, TRAIL에 의해 유도되는 세포 사멸로부터 세포를 보호하는 길항적 수용체로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
이 유전자는 p53에 의해 조절되는 DNA 손상 유도 유전자로 밝혀졌으며, 정상 조직에서는 광범위하게 발현되지만 대부분의 암세포주에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 이는 TRAIL에 의해 유도되는 세포 사멸에 대한 암세포의 특이적 감수성을 설명할 수 있습니다.
