Target Information
Trex1 (ATRIP)는 인간의 주요 3’→5’ 엑소뉴클레아제이며, DNA 손상 후 체크포인트 신호 전달에 필수적입니다. 이 단백질은 복제 단백질 A로 코팅된 단일가닥 DNA에 결합하고, 손상 부위로 ATR 단백질을 모집하여 DNA 손상 및 복제 스트레스 반응에 관여합니다. Trex1은 ATR 발현에 필요하며, 두 개의 ORF를 통해 다양한 단백질을 생성합니다. 상류 ORF는 ATR과 상호작용하며 DNA 손상에 의해 유도된 핵내 초점에 국한되고, 하류 ORF는 엑소뉴클레아제 활성을 가지며 DNA polymerase III의 서브유닛일 가능성이 있습니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 Aicardi-Goutières 증후군, chilblain lupus, Cree 뇌염과 관련이 있습니다.
