Target Information
Gb5 protein is a G protein subunit predominantly expressed in the central nervous system. It exists in two forms: 39 kDa (brain) and 44 kDa (retina). Gb5 associates tightly with RGS7, a member of the superfamily of negative regulators of G protein signaling. These complexes localize to most regions of the brain, while Gb1–4 show no observable colocalization with RGS7.
This antibody is specific for a peptide sequence within the D1 blade, which is not found in Gb1–4.
