Target Information
TLR5는 Toll-like receptor 계열에 속하는 Type I 막 단백질로, 미생물 인식과 선천 면역 반응에 관여합니다. 세균의 flagellin을 감지하며, MyD88 및 TRAF6을 통해 NF-κB 활성화, 사이토카인 분비 및 염증 반응을 유도합니다. TLR5는 간에서 높은 발현을 보이며, 폐에서도 검출됩니다. TLR5 유전자는 Salmonella 감수성과 관련된 위치에 존재하며, 특정 마우스 계통은 TLR5 발현 수준과 감염 저항성에 따라 분류됩니다. 또한 TLR5 신호전달을 방해하는 stop codon 다형성은 Legionnaires’ disease 감수성과 연관되어 있습니다.
