Target Information
CDY2B는 chromodomain과 histone acetyltransferase 촉매 도메인을 포함하는 단백질을 암호화합니다. Chromodomain 단백질은 이형염색질 복합체의 구성 요소로서 유전자 억제 인자로 작용할 수 있습니다. 이 단백질은 후기 정자세포의 핵에 위치하며, 히스톤 과아세틸화가 일어나는 곳에서 발견됩니다. 히스톤 과아세틸화는 프로타민이 히스톤을 대체하여 DNA 포장 단백질로 전환되는 과정을 촉진하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 이 유전자는 Y 염색체의 팔린드롬 영역에 거의 동일한 두 복제본으로 존재하며, 본 기록은 중심체 쪽 복제본을 나타냅니다. Y 염색체에는 또한 말단 부근 팔린드롬에 밀접하게 관련된 유전자 쌍과 여러 관련된 유사 유전자가 존재합니다.
