Target Information
A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) are structurally diverse proteins that bind the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A (PKA) and localize the holoenzyme to specific cellular sites.
AKAP10 encodes a dual-specific AKAP that interacts with both type I and type II regulatory subunits of PKA. This protein is highly enriched in mitochondria and contains RGS domains, which may play key roles in PKA and G-protein signal transduction.
