휴지기 및 활성화된 혈소판에서 반응하며, 단핵구와 거핵세포에서 약하게 발현됩니다.
혈소판의 세포막 하부 세포골격 부착 부위로 작용하며, GPIb/IX 복합체는 von Willebrand factor의 결합 및 부착 수용체 역할을 수행합니다.
