Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태아기 동안 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP의 발현은 간세포암종(HCC)이나 기형종(teratoma)과 관련이 있으며, 일부에서는 병리적 이상 없이 유전적으로 지속될 수 있습니다. AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형 단백질로 간주되며, 두 유전자는 염색체 4번에 나란히 존재합니다. AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며 구리, 니켈, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다. 양수 내 AFP 농도는 척추이분증 및 무뇌증 선별을 위한 지표로 사용되며, 혈청 내 높은 AFP 수준은 간세포암, 기형아종, 대장암, 췌장암, 생식세포 종양 등에서 발견됩니다.
