Phospho-CD45 (Tyr1216) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of CD45 only when phosphorylated at Tyr1216.
Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising approximately 10% of all surface proteins in lymphocytes. It is absent on non-hematopoietic cell lines and tissues. CD45 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, acting as a regulator of Src-family kinases. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. CD45RA is an isoform with restricted expression among lymphoid cell subtypes. CD45 regulates T- and B-cell receptor signaling, cytokine receptor signaling via JAK kinases, and contributes to cell survival and apoptosis regulation.
