Target Information
Regulates insulin sensitivity and metabolic homeostasis. Inhibits the folate cycle, reducing de novo purine biosynthesis and leading to accumulation of AICAR, which activates AMPK. Protects against age-dependent and diet-induced insulin resistance and obesity.
