Target Information
CLN6은 311 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질로, 7개의 예측된 막관통 도메인을 가지며 척추동물 전반에서 보존되어 있습니다. CLN6 단백질은 소포체(ER)에 위치하지만, 리소좀 기능에 관여합니다.
CLN6 유전자의 돌연변이는 변이형 후기 발병 영아형 신경세포성 리소좀 축적증(vLINCL)을 유발하며, 이는 진행성 정신 퇴화와 시력 상실을 특징으로 하는 리소좀 저장 질환입니다.
CLN6은 CLN1–8 단백질군 중 하나로, 모두 소아기 신경퇴행성 질환인 NCL(neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis)에 관련되어 있습니다.
