Product Specific Information
Reconstitute with 50–100 µL of distilled water, and dilute further in 0.1 M PBS containing 1% BSA and 0.1% sodium azide. Once reconstituted, store at -20°C.
Target Information
Neuromedin U (NmU) is a vertebrate peptide that stimulates uterine smooth muscle contraction and induces selective vasoconstriction. It is proteolytically processed from a larger precursor protein, producing mature peptides of 8 (NmU-8) to 25 (NmU-25) amino acids that are C-terminally amidated. The C-terminal sequence of NmU is highly conserved across species.
