Target Information
MCL1 (Myeloid cell leukemia-1)은 Bcl-2 계열에 속하며 세포 생존, 분화, 그리고 프로그램된 세포사(apoptosis)의 조절에 관여합니다.
Isoform 1은 apoptosis를 억제하고, isoform 2는 이를 촉진합니다. MCL1은 DNA 손상 요인(방사선, 자외선, 알킬화 약물 등)에 노출된 ML-1 세포에서 발현이 증가하며, GADD45 및 Bax의 증가와 bcl-2의 감소와 연관됩니다.
MCL1은 미토콘드리아에 주로 위치하며, bcl-2와 함께 세포 생존을 유지하는 역할을 합니다.
MCL1은 배아 발생과 B/T 림프구의 발달 및 유지에 필수적이며, 두 가지 주요 isoform(MCL1L, MCL1S)을 가집니다. MCL1S의 과발현은 세포 사멸을 유도합니다.
