IA-2 (insulinoma-associated protein 2, ICA512, PTPRN)은 신경내분비 세포의 분비 과립에 위치한 transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) 계열 단백질입니다.
IA-2는 979개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있으며, luminal domain, transmembrane domain, cytoplasmic domain을 포함합니다.
PTP 도메인 내 중요한 부위의 아미노산 치환으로 인해 기질에 대한 phosphatase 활성을 가지지 않습니다.
IA-2 및 IA-2β는 제1형 당뇨병의 주요 자가항원으로 알려져 있습니다.
과립의 exocytosis 시 IA-2의 cytoplasmic domain은 절단되어 핵으로 이동하며, STAT5 및 STAT3의 인산화를 증가시켜 인슐린 유전자 전사 및 과립 생합성을 유도합니다.
