PRKD2 (PKD2)는 protein kinase D serine/threonine kinase 계열에 속하는 단백질로, phorbol ester 및 CCK b gastrin receptor에 의해 유도되는 신호전달 경로의 구성 요소입니다.
PKD/PKC 및 PKCnu와 높은 상동성을 가지며, 특히 duplex zinc finger-like cysteine-rich motif, pleckstrin homology domain, protein kinase domain에서 유사성이 높습니다.
반면, 다른 PKC 계열 단백질과는 낮은 수준의 서열 유사성을 보입니다.
