Target Information
TNK2 (ACK) (activated Cdc42-associated kinase) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that signals downstream of Cdc42. TNK2 is involved in tumorigenesis and metastasis, particularly in prostate cancer. It acts as a downstream effector of CDC42, mediating CDC42-dependent cell migration via phosphorylation of BCAR1. TNK2 may contribute to synaptic function, brain development, and tumor progression by activating AKT1 and regulating AR, WWOX, and AXL receptor levels. It confers metastatic properties on cancer cells by regulating tumor suppressors and pro-survival factors.
