Target Information
Kallikreins, including Kallikrein 6, are a subgroup of serine proteases with diverse physiological functions. Evidence suggests many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and may serve as potential biomarkers for cancer and other diseases. KLK6 enzyme is regulated by steroid hormones and has been shown to generate amyloidogenic fragments from amyloid precursor protein, suggesting a potential role in Alzheimer’s disease.
