This antibody has specificity for Human CCND3.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, characterized by periodic changes in protein abundance through the cell cycle. Cyclins regulate CDK kinases and exhibit distinct expression and degradation patterns that coordinate mitotic events. Cyclin D3 forms a complex with CDK4 or CDK6, essential for G1/S transition, and participates in phosphorylation of tumor suppressor protein Rb. CDK4 activity associated with this cyclin is required for progression through G2 phase into mitosis after UV radiation. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms exist.
Diseases associated with CCND3 include Retinoblastoma and Plasma Cell Leukemia.
