Target Information
GOT2 (glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 2) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme located in the inner mitochondrial membrane. It plays a key role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. GOT1 (cytoplasmic) and GOT2 (mitochondrial) are homodimeric enzymes with close homology.
